Natural Disasters

brokenGlassPeople take photographs of unusual events in their lives; often these are happy events of celebration or relaxation. But many are not. And they may affect the lives of very many people. Here are some of them.

So far I’ve found pictures of the floods that washed away the Tasmanian mining town of Derby in 1929, and the earthquake that destroyed Napier, New Zealand in 1931. No doubt I’ll find something else before long, and I’ll share that with you, too.
